About

From Ours To Yours

Some of our fondest travel memories are the places where we’ve dined. It’s more than the food, it’s the vibrant spirit of the community that makes the place feel like home wherever it is.

That’s what Sidewalk Cafe is for us — a celebration of what makes Airlie Beach special: bringing the world together in one spot while enjoying delicious food, a laid-back ambience, and outstanding coastal views.

A Piece Of Airlie Beach History

First, it was the Ansett travel center. Then it was a Greek restaurant and deli. Until it became Sidewalk Cafe in 1994.

Now, with new owners Chris and Rachel, you get to experience Airlie Beach in a little piece of its history.

More Than Food And Drinks

When Chris and Rachel took over Sidewalk Cafe in August 2022, they committed to going back to their roots. Rachel grew up in Airlie Beach, and Chris spent many days in his youth visiting from Mackay.

They wanted a simpler way of life that was beautiful and diverse, and Airlie Beach quickly felt like home.

Buying Sidewalk Cafe wasn’t just about taking on a new business. It was the beginning of realising a shared vision where their family could grow and thrive in a place they loved.

They’re honoured to share a piece of the place they now call home with you.
